First established back in 1931

History of Windmill Garage

Did you know Windmill Garage was first established way back in 1931 by the Wilson family? For nearly 100 years, we've had the pleasure of welcoming generations of customers through our doors - helping them find the perfect car and delivering honest, friendly service you can trust.

We took over in 1995 and injected new life in to the business. We're proud to still be a family-run business, staying true to our roots while growing with the times.

Here's a throwback to one of our newspaper features from almost 20 years ago - a lovely reminder of how far we've come and how grateful we are to all of you who've supported us along the way.

From classics to electric, and from young drivers to loyal returners, we've seen it all… and we’re still going strong!

We offer a relaxed and friendly buying experience putting your needs first!

  • All vehicles checked with HPI

    You can be safe in the knowledge that all of our cars are HPI Clear and have no hidden history. Reports are provided on request.

  • No outstanding finance or write offs

    None of our vehicles have any outstanding finance or have been insurance write offs. You can be sure that only best vehicles make it onto our forecourt.

  • All vehicles with genuine verified mileage

    We take a number of steps to verify mileages on all our vehicles, from checking service records, MOT histories and registration documents. All of our vehicles documents are always available to check and we operate a fully open and transparent approach.

  • Test Drives

    Taking a test drive is a vital part of choosing the right car for you. It's the only way you're going to find out if a car is good to drive and practical enough for your needs. So feel free to arrange a test drive on any one of our cars before you make a final decision.

  • Free 12 months MOT with all vehicles if under 6 months remaining

    If your chosen vehicle has less than 6 months of MOT remaining you will receive a new MOT with your vehicle purchase free of charge.

  • Free service where required

    If there is a service due on your chosen car our service centre will carry out a free interim service (to include oil and filter change) free of charge.

  • Multi-Point Inspection

    Once you have chosen your vehicle all of our cars go through a multi-point pre-delivery inspection by qualified technicians which means your car is vigorously checked and anything that needs rectifying done so before your collection date.

  • Pre-delivery valet

    Your new car will be professionally valeted and air freshened by our team of cleaners.

  • Comprehensive Warranty Cover

    You can drive-away with complete peace of mind knowing your vehicle is protected by one UK’s leading warranty providers.
